  2. Type in the name of your company in the Search for company search field. Choose your company from the drop-down list of search results. If you can't find your desired company in the database, refer to the help page on how to add a company to the database.

  3. In the Framework search field, type in the name of the ESG framework you wish to compare your selected company's ESG reports with.

  4. Choose one of the three calculated indicators by clicking on one of the tabs at the top of the page. You can choose between Level of specificity, Level of ambition, and Level of impact.

  5. You can filter results by selecting the desired year in the Year drop-down menu. Additionally, you can choose between different peer classification systems in the Peer Classification drop-down menu.

  6. To further refine this analysis, click on the pen icon next to the Peer Filters label and specify peer companies according to specific industries and geographical areas. You may also find it helpful to filter peer companies with respect to a minimum number of employees, total revenue, and other attributes. After the desired filters have been set, click on the Apply button at the bottom of the window.

After all parameters have been set you can view the results of your compliance check.

View the Results of Your Compliance Check
  • Selecting the Overview tab will generate a table providing an overview of your company's alignment with the selected framework, as well as the Peers Average and Peers Median. In this table, each row represents the percentage of coverage with respect to each of the ESG segments: Environment, Social, and Governance. The bottom row shows the Overall Score of compliance. Furthermore, you can select the toggle above your scores to view them in tabular form or as a graph.

While on the Overview tab, you can switch between the three indicators by selecting them from the Indicator drop-down menu. This will adjust the scores according to the selected indicator.

  • While on the Overview tab, selecting the CSRD tab above the scores will create a table where each row represents one section in the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, which will be mandatory from 2025 onward. Each section of the regulatory framework has an ID, a Name, and a checkmark in the Applies column which indicates whether or not the selected company's ESG report applies to the section. If the checkmark indicates a successful match to a section in the CSRD then a link icon will appear in the Open Report column. Clicking on this icon will open a Report window which contains the relevant section(s) in the selected company's ESG report.

  • Selecting one of the indicator tabs (Level of specificity, Level of ambition, or Level of impact) will produce a list of topics covered by the previously selected ESG framework. This list can be filtered according to one of the three ESG segments by navigating to the Segment drop-down menu and selecting Environment, Social, or Governance. The table will then only contain topics related to the chosen segment.

These topics are accompanied by a set of more granular sub-topics in the Related Topics column, followed by a percentage of how much each topic is covered according to the selected indicator. The Top 3 Peers column indicates the three most relevant peers or competitors with respect to each topic, as well as their average indicator score. The Open Report column reveals a link icon for each topic. Clicking on one of these icons will open a Report window based on the ESG reports published by the selected company, listing relevant sections in their reports in the form of paragraphs.

Note

Each paragraph in the Report window has an associated link icon which can be clicked to open the source document which the selected paragraph relates to. Click on Show More to expand the generated summary of the report. This summary can be downloaded by clicking on the Download icon in the top right corner of the window.
